The Sydney opera house roof has collapsed in spectacular fashion in front of a captivated audience. Ok, thats not entirely true. Have a look at the video below, courtesy of The Guardian, to see the real story.

The Vivid light and music festival that was held in the city featured a light installation that projected graphics onto the iconic building. Some of the designs projected made the ‘sails’ look like they were billowing in the ocean breeze and also showed several people clambering over the building.

The installation was created by the German design company Urbanscreen. The festival finished on the 11th of June and involved 50 light installations across the city.

I love when design and art are integrated into communities and I hope to see more in Dubai and across the middle east. The firework displays on New Years Eve at both the Burj Khalifa and Burj al Arab are amazing. Maybe this year they will take inspiration from this light installation.
